About
Tom is a musician based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, who has had an interest in music and recording from an early age. Tom has studied music at GCSE and BTEC level, and Music Technology at A Level and degree level (BSc) and has gained instrumental grades with Rock School (Drums) and Guildhall (Electric Guitar). With many years experience in music, Tom has performed full time and as a dep musician with a range of bands; Tribute bands, original material, Pop, Jazz, Blues… all the way through to Metal. Since 2003 Tom has given private tuition for both Electric Guitar and Drum Kit.
Tom performs regularly in a tribute to Motörhead, named Motörheadcase, in which he performs vocal duties and bass. Tom is also a regular busker, busking with Electric Guitar and backing tracks, and takes bookings for private parties and events performing the material he busks with. Tom was the founding member of Wakefield based Thrash Metal band Asmodia.
Tom’s interest in studio recording transferred over to live sound and PA during the Asmodia days, and over time built up a sizeable and comprehensive PA rig. Tom provides PA and sound engineering services, and is available for hire by bands and venues in and around the Wakefield area.
In addition to this, Tom runs a music shop in Wakefield, Saturn Music, which provides Sheet Music, Instruments and accessories.
Tom has a wide range of musical influences, helping him to step in last minute to fill in for other musicians gigs, a large collection of music which is ever expanding, and is well adapted to working from cue sheets, using click tracks and learning from ear for session and dep work.
